Our high profile work for CBS Outdoor continues this month with the celebrations for the London Underground’s 150th anniversary, the centrepiece of which (at least as far as we’re concerned) is an entire Metropolitan Line train wrapped in the CBSO icons that have become so well known over the last year or so.
As the media owner behind almost all of the tube’s advertising sites, this couldn’t just be a random collection. Instead we created giant maps of London around the themes of ‘London at work’, ‘London shopping’ and ‘London at play’, not only showcasing CBSO’s consumer marketing initiative ‘Work. Shop. Play’, but also demonstrating that it was the media company that knew the London audience better than anyone.
The result was a mobile marketing event that got people talking, tweeting (#lovingLDN) and posting images of the eye-catching train in all its glory.
